Catalunya approached Digital Visitor in 2014 to promote its profile as a family friendly destination to a wider audience.
What mattered to them most was increasing the size of their community on Facebook, quality data capture for brand use and increasing audience reach while driving more web traffic from social sources.
In addition to the summer and winter Facebook campaigns for Catalunya Tourist Board we also provided channel management services since July 2014 and have increased their Facebook likes by a further 99%!
Over the years, we have delivered both campaigns and community activation to Catalunya to help grow and engage their audience.
This work included promotions on Catalunya’s Facebook page for a summer campaign, and a winter ‘sweepstake’ style campaign which featured falling snow, and offered entrants the chance to win a ski break in Catalunya for 4 people. These campaigns quickly increased page likes from prospective customers, and key messages prompted entrants to like the page and enter the prize draw submitting their email addresses. This simple entry mechanic encouraged maximum participation to grow Catalunya’s community, and educated participating fans about Catalunya’s offerings.

Our creative content has helped boost Catalunya’s Facebook page engagement by 3254% through increased interactions including likes, comments and shares.
