Generator Hostels, the leading hostel chain in Europe, has appointed Digital Visitor to enhance and drive forward their social media activity.
In the first instance, Generator Hostels will be incorporating Digital Visitor’s award winning applications on their website to enable customers to add reviews and ratings, start discussions and share tips and hints about their experiences at any one of their hostels around Europe.
As well as text, guests will also be encouraged to upload and share photos and videos, visually enhancing the Generator Hostels website with the aim of increasing both the website’s browsing time and most importantly, the conversion rate.
Carl Michel, Executive Chairman of Generator Hostels said;
“We are pleased to be working with Digital Visitor.
Their twofold approach to social media marketing is really quite unique – it’s strategic, ensuring that our efforts on social media provide short-term wins but long-term benefits, and it’s integrated, meaning our activities are incorporated on our website and across relevant social channels”.
In addition to providing the enhancements to Generator Hostels website, Digital Visitor will also be responsible for growing their presence on social media channels, including Facebook and Twitter, and delivering effective campaigns to drive traffic and increase business.
Digital Visitor’s CEO and Founder, Anthony Rawlins said;
“Our series of award winning social media applications enables companies of all sizes and in any industry to gather feedback, reviews, ratings and much more on their own website. This valuable content can then be broadcast across other popular social media channels to drive brand new audiences back to their website to convert into sales”.
“We are very excited to be working with one of the most exciting hostel brands in Europe to enhance their website through our social media applications and to generate new customers for them through our creative social media campaigns”.
The first Generator Hostel opened in London in 1995, followed by Berlin in 2002, and Copenhagen, Dublin, Hamburg and Venice all opening in 2011. Just recently, they announced a new Barcelona hostel will be opened in 2013.
