Visit Dorset wanted to promote Dorset as a holiday destination to a wider audience.
Leveraging the success of television series, Broadchurch, our aim was to increase audience reach for the Visit Dorset Facebook page, converting this to web traffic from social sources.
“We chose to work with Digital Visitor as we felt they offered a professional service at a very competitive price. We were also impressed with projects that they had worked on previously with a number of leading brands. Throughout our campaign, Digital Visitor was there to offer advice and support and we gained a great rapport with them in making our campaign a great success. The results that we achieved surpassed any of our expected levels, while achieving fantastic feedback from entrants taking part in our promotion. We would certainly look at working with Digital Visitor again with future projects.”
We created, designed and built a quiz promotion on Visit Dorset’s Facebook page to quickly increase page likes from prospective customers and maximise entrants to the competition.
Key messages prompted entrants to like the page, choose a prize and submit their email address to enter.
Using a simple entry mechanic to encourage participation, users were educated about Visit Dorset’s offerings, as well as created a bespoke opt in data form to maximise the value of entries.
During the promotion we ran targeted Facebook advertising campaigns to generate awareness and likes for the Visit Dorset page. This involved developing and optimising ads, promoted copy and creative images to achieve a high click through rate and value for money.
Visit Dorset’s Facebook campaign was also covered by relevant influencers, communities, blogs and social networks that would give Visit Dorset targeted exposure.
